This mixed-media painting was created in response to the theme “Books.” Using ink and watercolour as a base, the piece incorporates layered paper, embroidery thread, and faux moss to build texture and depth. Lines and geometric shapes are used to form pocket-like sections, which function as a visual timeline, gradually revealing key moments from the narrative. Each pocket contains a different scene from the Harry Potter series, including the Hogwarts Express, Hagrid’s hut, elements of the Marauder’s Map, a Quidditch scene, and Hogwarts Castle. The Weasleys’ flying car is presented as a three-dimensional element, extending the story beyond the surface of the painting and enhancing the sense of discovery.
