Blurg
Blurg is a site-specific box golem constructed from discarded cardboard and wire, designed to resemble weathered, ageing packages left exposed to the elements. The work was inspired by cardboard litter encountered around Stoke, using the material itself as both subject and medium. Through Blurg, I aim to evoke empathy for overlooked waste and draw attention to the wider issue of littering and its environmental impact. By transforming discarded materials into a character with presence and vulnerability, the piece encourages viewers to reconsider their relationship with waste and public space.
