I wanted my artwork to raise awareness about endangered species inhabiting our woodland areas while using the vibrant and distinct art style traditionally found on barges. By blending these two themes, I aim to highlight the serious need for conservation in a way that is both visually captivating and culturally meaningful. The bold, flowing patterns and vivid colors of the barge art blend the natural beauty and diversity of woodland habitats, while the animals depicted serve as a reminder of the fragility of these ecosystems. My work strives to spark a conversation on the importance of preserving our local wildlife.
